As part of Microsoft Build, there are a set of five learning challenges. The challenges are mostly just following along pre-written scripts, so depending on the challenge you don't necessarily need a lot of previous experience.
"Dev mixtape, volume 1" was a great introduction into C#, .NET, PowerShell, Rust, Python & AI -- no programming experience needed, they walk you through everything; I highly recommend it if you are interested in learning more about programming. Two lucky winners will get a chance to meet (via Teams meeting) Erin Chapple, Scott Hanselman, Todd Anglin, or Corey Sanders. If I win, I'll probably try to meet with Scott Hanselman.
"AI think therefore AI am" was another of my favorite challenges that I would recommend. It really is amazing how easily Microsoft has made it to integrate AI into your projects.
"Cache me if you can" wasn't really one my favorite topics. 😢 If I win, meeting with Mark Russinovich would be awesome (we collaborated a long time ago on a tool for Microsoft store, where Mark was the developer and I did the test validation.) It would be cool to talk to him about his Star Wars collection along with all the technical stuff (like Azure and SysInternals).
Anyway, I encourage you to at least try one of the topics -- Microsoft Build | Cloud Skills Challenge.
