I'm finally all moved in to my new place in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was able to get out the soldering iron and finish the PCB board that I designed in early January; which is a solid state relay board for turning on Christmas tree star and acting like a WS2812 (sending green vs. red will make the ATtiny85 turn on the 110 volt outlet). I'd like to redesign the board to use an optocoupler. UPDATED: 3/17/2021 -- While reading Eric Coates web site about electronics, I just learned there is something called an "Opto Triac"; which sounds like an even better solution for my next version of the PCB.
Hopefully now that I'm moved in I'll have a couple days a week where I can work on electronic projects. There is a shop in Tulsa that sells vacuum tubes; which is something I've never worked with before & could be kind of fun?
